Hello, I'm Julie!
Julie is a trauma-informed registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist dedicated to helping teens, families and individuals build a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. Built on a weight-neutral approach to nutrition, Julie’s food philosophy focuses on eating food that is both personally enjoyable and nourishing. She works with clients to move away from the cycle of chronic dieting and build skills to restore eating competence- a process rooted in self-care rather than restriction, guilt, or shame.
While Julie brings clinical expertise to each session, she believes that each client is the expert in their own life, and she aims to provide the support necessary for clients to find what truly works for their lifestyle and family.
As a Certified Mind-Body Medicine Facilitator (cmbm.org), Julie also offers mind-body practices for stress coping alongside nutrition counseling and diabetes education.
