Introducing Shannon Ellis, LCSW, a virtual trauma-informed Psychotherapist with a unique, personable, and compassionate psychodynamic approach. Shannon is trained in EMDR therapy and creates a safe approach to trauma processing. 

 

Shannon is an inclusive therapist enjoying working with diverse populations in all stages of life. Specializing in working with adults at Carmel Therapy Network, Shannon's strength-based nervous system perspective sets her apart. She takes a holistic and somatic approach, recognizing that trauma and stress are remembered by the body. Shannon's passion lies in assisting her clients in navigating life transitions and stressors, including emotional regulation and identification, breakups or separation, processing trauma, and neurodivergence.  Shannon takes Anthem BCBS and United Healthcare /UMR insurance and Private Pay for those out of network.

Standard Notice: “Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges” Under the No Surprises Act. Beginning January 1, 2022: If you’re uninsured or you pay for healthcare bills yourself ('self-pay, you don’t have your claims submitted to your health insurance plan), providers and facilities must provide you with an estimate of expected charges before you receive an item or service. You can receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under this law, health and mental healthcare providers must give clients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health or mental healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask about your health or mental healthcare provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill of at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
