Hello, I'm Candace!

Candace is a Trauma-Informed Psychotherapist at Carmel Therapy Network, providing both in-person and virtual therapy for adults, teens, and youth. Her approach is grounded in empathy, safety, and collaboration, helping clients navigate the healing process at a pace that feels manageable and empowering.

Candace specializes in working with clients who have experienced trauma, loss, or significant life transitions, creating a space that supports both emotional processing and nervous system regulation. She brings a calm, steady presence to her sessions, meeting each client exactly where they are while helping them rediscover a sense of hope and connection.

With a professional background in trauma processing, grief work, and crisis stabilization, Candace has extensive experience supporting Veterans, First Responders, and professionals in high-stress or complex careers. She understands the impact of secondary trauma, burnout, and chronic stress, and helps clients build tools to navigate these challenges while maintaining emotional resilience and self-compassion.

Candace is also skilled in supporting clients navigating suicidal ideation, self-harm, and acute crisis, approaching these topics with deep care and nonjudgment. Her therapeutic style emphasizes trust, transparency, and the development of coping strategies that honor each person’s unique strengths and values.

Candace’s sessions often integrate trauma-informed principles, mindfulness, and emotion regulation strategies to support healing from the inside out. She believes that healing is not about erasing the past, but about helping individuals reclaim their sense of safety, purpose, and connection in the present.

Candace accepts insurance plans: Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield BCBS (excluding HIP), United Healthcare/UMR/SIHO (pending in network), AETNA (pending in-network), and Community Health Direct (pending in network). She also accepts Private Pay for those who may have an out of-network plan.

Please Note: We are currently unable to accept HIP, Pathway, Medicare and Medicaid plans.

Standard Notice: “Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges” Under the No Surprises Act. Beginning January 1, 2022: If you’re uninsured or you pay for healthcare bills yourself ('self-pay, you don’t have your claims submitted to your health insurance plan), providers and facilities must provide you with an estimate of expected charges before you receive an item or service. You can receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under this law, health and mental healthcare providers must give clients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health or mental healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask about your health or mental healthcare provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill of at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, click here or call HHS at (800) 368-1019.
